I have a friend who is willing to trade me the Intercooler core above for a GReddy Type-S. Mainly, because he doesn't use the intercooler, it's been sitting in his garage for like 6 months, and he likes the shiny-ness of the Type-S... I think. Anyway, if I do trade... where would be a good place to get a piping kit that mounts up to this thing? I'm not sure how it will run or which kit to buy off the parts section. Any help is appreciated.

ps.... it's a 1g eclipse w/ 14b current, but moving to 16g in a month or two.

Link you provided is dead.

For piping, you have a few options.

Cheapest, go on ebay find a pipe kit the same diameter as the inlet/outlet on the IC.

Or go around in the classifieds, or performance websites, and look for a 1g piping kit. This can cause problems if the intercooler and piping dont fit together, as you will have little or no extra piping to make changes.

As for the 16g, personally I think the 14b will be enough until you get more mods done. I would say stick with the 14b until at least you get a wideband and a logger, so you can really tune that 16g and make power. 14b has been proven time and time again, dont look down on it.

Sorry. The link is fixed. And yea, my buddy convinced me not to stick it on yet because I don't have the fuel mods and such. I was going to but just run low boost. As for tuning, a buddy of mine has DSMLink, so once I get the appropriate things he can tune for me.

I just need a kit for th 1g that goes from end to end on the IC.

Thats not a good trade. You can get a FULL FMIC for like $499 from Punshiment Racing. (Link)

Or get an ebay FMIC for under $100.

Those are 3 different ones, for 3 different sizes ALL under $100 and are new. In fact, I wouldn't be suprised thats what he gave you.

Placing a front mount intercooler on you vehicle will not have effects that would require additional fuel mods. Everything will act the same. The engine will have easier airflow with dense/cooler air, but it will not put air in that is not metered.
Since your car came stock with a turbo, and you are not changing the amount of boost, you do not need to wait.
