What is the cheapest way to do a FMIC on a 1g. I can weld myself, so i was thinking about 550$ for the intercooler, 100 for the pipes, and 250 for the blowthrough MAF and translater... Can you buy an air filter that will directly connect to a pipe? any thoughts on this?

Well sounds to me like you alrady know. However there is no welding required, unless you want to weld a bead at the end of the pipes. Check the tech articles. Im pretty sure theres a FAQ for it

starion fmic you can find for like 300 or less, i found a guy who was selling fmic and piping for 220, but he sold it before i had a chance to take him up on it....or at least im guessing thats what happened,....

people are havin success with ebay intercoolers, i have one to use when i turbo in a bout a month.....im hoping it was worth the money...pay for what you get i know, but i dont plan on making insane amounts of HP so it should serve my purpose. check out my webpage in my profile for pics of the FMIC i paid $220 shipped i believe 24x12x2.75 with 3 in in/outlets.
