Changing the BOV Fin

I was talking with my friend and he has a bov on his rx-7 which by the way is very very sick, and he said that he took his fin completely off? if I take mine off will it be really loud or he said he can change the fin for me for different pitches. Do you guys think I should change the fin or is that a good idea?

I don't see how removing the silver triple-fin discharge design will make it louder since according to HKS it makes a powerful and unique aggressive blow-off sound and increases sound.

, that little purple ring is sitting in my console, freakin. I knew it went to the bov but I had no clue what it was....

Well if you already have it, hook it up and let us know how it sounds! A Video/audio clip would be nice.
