changing headlights in 91 gsx

i was just trying to change my head light in my car today and when i went to take out the screws that hold the light in place they just happened to be a striped. i was just wondering were you can get a tool to get them out or should i just bring it to a shop real quick and have them do it. thanks.

Far too common a problem in the sealed beam headlight brackets.
The fix is painfull regardless of how you go at it. Either grab the head of the screw with vice grips and turn it or drill the head off and remove the shanks.

PB Blaster helps loosen the rust on the threads.

Yeah, vice grips should do the trick. I had to do that yesterday at work with a tractor.

the real pain in the ass is those screws on the faces of the fog lights, I spent a week every night I'd wd40 them, gave it a shot....stripped 3 of the 4.

Pb blast, works amzing, spray it tap it will a wrench and let it sit for about 5 mins. Then try to remove it, if it is still hard, tap it more and spray.

After you've used PB Blaster you'll throw out the WD-40.

PB Blaster I've used both wd40 and PB Blaster. The blaster has unbelievalbe penetration on rusted bolts and screws highly recomended. As a matter of fact it is safe to say I use it 6 out of 7 days in a week. If you soak the bolts for a few days they should come out with vise grips.

k cool thanks. im gonna try to use the wd40 first tomorrow morning and if that doesnt work, and it probably wont, ill try the other stuff. where do you buy it at? just any parts store?

Very unusual. I've seen checkerboard, but not striped.
