ok, i've read every thing about supra SMIC's and well i have one now.

but funding is low and i cant get the new SMIC pipes from extreme psi so i have to do with what i have.

The fmic piping i have , the one pipe off the jpipe has a nipple and i use that for my EBC for a boost source.

Where can i tap into for a boost source when the pipe im going to use does not have said nipple/tap?

I'm probably looking at the part i need to tap into but for some reason today, it excapes me LOL.

yeah thats what i thought but i dont know any welders etc.....

so ill see if i can get the nipple out of the old pipe and drill and tap , and maybe Jbweld??? i just want my car back LOL

If you can figure out the thread pitch and size of your old nipple you should be able to possibly go to a local hardware store and get a tap for the nipple so you can just drill and tap the pipe and use some teflon pipe dope to help seal it. This is what I did for my 4" intake for my blow by line off the valve cover

i'd bet you can take that pipe to any local garage and they will weld one on for you for next nothing. That should be a very cheap and simple job for any garage. Just measure your vacuum line so they know what size nipple to use.

i got it, 1/8npt fitting, i have a tap/dye set, and thankfuly it worked. Another big issue is the Jpipe. It doest like the FP huge intake. I had to use the wifes stock one for now. I dont know who made the jpipe but it was on her car, it needs pulled to the front right corner about 1inch to fit.

does anyone running a SMIC with a jpipe that has an FP intake, can you tell me where you got your jpipe from?

i sent them an email. i'll wait a few (maybe a day or so) and give them a call. I'm still buggin about the side mount, i just should hack the crap out of the 2gb talon bumper and put my fmic back on but a one man operation stinks LOL.

welp FP isn't any help. They Fit "stock" and there install kits.. so I'm going to call Extreme and ask about there jpipe kit for SMIC.

thats the plan.

right now using the stock SMIC for the 14b. I have to adjust the bov, it flutters more than it did with the FMIC.

im going to pick it up this weekend, but you can search here, for the write up on it. but ill have pics and load them here.

for the sleeper look, couldn't you have just put one of those vent screens in the bumper over the fmic? that way no one can see the intercooler. prob would have been a lot cheaper too for that screen mesh than get a new ic and pipes and brackets and ect.

yeah i could of just done that, but its not what im going for. I had a stock SMIC to use till i get paid, the wifes gst (currently down for trans and engine rebuild) had a jpipe for the stock SMIC so i used that but it doest work with the FP intake. So thats why im hunting down a different jpipe etc.

I plan on putting a mesh screen on the front anyways, looks like crap with out that splash gard or ducting up front , i have my old 95's but it doest fit the 97. if i can find a 97's ill use that.

im really starting to think that this 14b is on its way out. Its like a hairdryer and could be my soul issue with this idle and temps. Went to the car wash about 11 blocks away so about maybe a mile if that. I get there and the idle is bouncing around , wash the car, bring it home and its bounching again.

plug in link and temps are 219, shut the car down, turned both fans on , waited awhile and while idle, it never got about 210 as the fans kick on and drop the temps..
