Since I figured out how much I will be getting back on my taxes, I've been looking into redoing my cooling setup. In my searching for best prices and availability, I ran across something interesting on Modern Automotive Performance. It seems to be, that MAP is offering a "ceramic thermal dispersant" coating on all their radiators no matter the brand for an additional $145. This is what the site says about it:
Add increased cooling capacity of this radiator by coating it in a ceramic thermal dispersant that will actually allow the radiator to be up to 25-30% more efficient. This coating helps speed up the heat transfer for an increase in cooling capabilities of the system. A must have for any heat stressed motor.

Now from my understanding, normally ceramic coating keeps the heat inside of what ever it's coating (IE: Exhaust manifold, o2 housings, etc). So I post this looking for answers and opinions on both how well it actually works to dissipate heat, and how cost efficient it is (since it could also be put into taking some slop out of my shifter ).

I welcome any and all opinions and information on this. Thank you

I have never seen anyone actually do this to a radiator. Assuming you have a nice electric fan you shouldn't have any cooling issues unless your in a hot zone, ie phx in the summer.

Well, my reasoning for even considering it, is because I plan to use this car as a road racing track car over the summer and with my current setup, my Tial external mounted off the Punishment o2 sits pretty close to my radiator. So I fear that I may have to use one of the thinner radiators instead of say a Koyo, and I still might have a cooling problem even with a high CFM pusher on the other side.

Plus, this is my DD and LA traffic sucks at times haha. So I don't want to be stranded on the side of the road.

EDIT: BTW, anyone know the thickness of a stock 2g radiator off the top of their head?
