Picked up a , centerforce dual friction kit for my brothers talon ...( i am a fan of act clutchs) ..Opened it up checked the clutch its an exedy dual friction  was the wrong clutch in there or , is centerforce clutchs now exedy ??

Didn't want to put it in because i just pulled a brand new exedy clutch out ..The spring had fallen out :banghead:

Its an Exedy dual friction, based on what? Is it because the hub has Exedy on it? If so, this doesn't necessarly mean its an Exedy disk. Only so many companies make center hubs (Exedy being one), so many other manufacturers use their center hubs.

Exactly as Daren said - MANY companies use friction disks from Exedy. Why? Not only because they have a good backing but because they are within the range of cost they would need to keep prices down so customers can pick up these assemblies at a reasonable price.

I doubt they sent you the incorrect one. You're simply looking at the manufacturers' brand.

I have a Centerforce Dual friction, Granted its a few years old now but I dont remember Exedy being on any part of that clutch. Who did you get it from? post a few pics.
