Center Differential??

Hi,

I have a 95 tsi AWD. The car is a Daily Driving.I busted the center differential at the track. The problem is I have tried 3 differents Ctr Diff's and they are different. What year is compatible with 95 tranny?? I have a VCE. Can I use this and use the car FWD without the center diff or its internals?? Please help me out.

All center diffs from late 91+ are the same. The early ones can be identified by looking at the teeth on the outer housing. If the teeth have a small groove in them it's the later gearset. Check this link out for pics and more info:

OK, Thanks. All of them have the same number of teeth?? 37 teeth, right???

If you have the VCE then yes, you can drive it like you stole it in FWD mode.

Not without an actual center diff to put the vce on. Like mentioned above any center diff with the notch cut into the housing gear will work.

Ok, Problem solved. Found a 93 tranny and switched the center diff.. Thanks
