Ok so I had the situation where my tires were dragging around tight turns and I would hear a clanking around under the car. Everyone assumed it was a busted center differential so I opened up the transmission, took out the differential, and nothing was broken and no broken gears fell out or anything. I did find random scraps of metal but couldn't figure out where it was from. I cleaned it out and put everything back together. Tires are still dragging and I still hear clanking. I'm at a loss to what it could be.

bad wheel bearings(draging),bad cv joint(clanking),jack the car up and rotate the tires by hand and see what you come up with.

I'll check on that. Thanks. Any other opinions?

I think you may be right on this actually. I just noticed when i'm driving above 20 mph, the tires start howling and whistling just like a bad wheel bearing would do.
