Hey guys. I previously had a rear tires locking thread that I resolved for a few months. I ended up rebuilding the transfer case with same issues. I replaced the rear differential (upgraded to lsd while at it) and my issues were resolved.

FFWD to now my front tires started locking above 30. Suspected the center diff and this is what I found.
Looks like a shim broke off causing the jam. Everything else looks good with no real damage.
Can you guys verify if it’s a shim? I’m leaning on sending off my center diff for a 4 spider conversion while it’s out. I don’t plan on ever launching this car from a stop. Do you guys think it’s over kill?

Spyder gear shims get wore bad on these old cars. When I had my center dif welded up for my auto car, the man told me it was a good thing as the spyder shims were SHOT and would be leaving metal deposits.

Just got back my center diff from Jacks yesterday. I ended up just doing the Torrington Bearing Upgrade. Doing the assembly today so figured id post the specs for the center diff incase anyone is having trouble finding them.
