ok my ? is when I go in reverse and turn the car the front tires fight with the back if that makes any sense. I can hear the back tires skipping on the pavement every so often. Is this the center diff or the V.C

yes that would be your center diff it has welded itself togeather
no biggie if u dont mind it being hard to park

with you have a 90 i would becarefull with it. It puts alot of stress on the rear axels and will weaken the 3bolt rear. carefull when you launch the car it will snap them easyer.

Like he said, the top thrust bearing / shim in the center diff probably welded itself to the gear/shaft and housing top. This happens from a poor design and lack of oil to this thrust bearing. Unless the spider gears broke from doing launches. Did this just start happening?

PM me if you're interested in a 4 spider center diff....

Well, it may be from the center diff being broken, welding itself together, the center diff was actually welded by a shope, or a welded viscious coupling is installed. Any of those things would lock it up sending 50/50 power to the front and back.

my car was the same way when i bought the car. I have since then gone though 2 3bolt rear ends now i am using a 4 bolt rear end then my VC went out and i got a new tranny and my car still have the same problem so i am in the dark as to what my problem is. i even put my car in the air and checked it over and my rear lsd is still working fine in the air but when the car is on the ground it just wants to act like the car is 50/50.
