Hey guys! Looking to powdercoat my rims black, but the center peice for the 2g Eclipse rim is plastic, are there any center peices compatible with the 2g rim that's metal?

Also, the car came with a body kit when I bought it. I'm now looking to replace it all with stock peices. The front and back are easy enough bit the sides seem rather difficult. I'm a tad bit confused on what to remove, and what peices I need to replace. Any inputs appreciated thanks!

1: I don't know ANYthing about powdercoating, but couldn't you just spray paint the center caps once you get the wheels back?

2: The body line in the door is really the only line down the side of the car. That being said, the new body line on the fender and quarter panel from the side skirt are where you need to start with removing. From that point down is removable. Difficulty depends on how they attached it. Mine were epoxy'd on and I had to pull off the side skirt and then go back and grind down where it was adhered to the body. Your's may just use double sided tape for all we know.

Good luck!

I agree. I plan on doing mine black. For the price of powdercoating, im just going to spray them black and then pick up a nice set of black rims when i have some spare money.

I was quoted 70 per rim, cheaper than buying new ones where I'm located at. No offense taken, also I dipped them while I'm waiting, here's some pictures.

^ Lol i was just thinking the same thing. as for the side skirts there are screws one both ends on the wheel well and maybe even the bottom underneath the rocker. sometimes they use double sided tape to hold them on i would guess they did on this one. those rims look sweet too i like them

Thanks guys! Roof scoops coming off this weekend hahaha..

That scoop must be his A/C haha

NICE JOB with the rims. i like how the mitsu logo is still silver. nice touch!
