cel p0100 maft problem

okay, here's the problem. The other day i was changing my spark plugs, i put the new ones in and fire it up and it runs horribly. it won't rev up over 3k and is pouring black/blue smoke out of the exhaust. i ran a diagnostic on it and it threw the code P0100 , volume or mass air flow circuit malfunction. i did some research and found a post by someone else with the same problem and was told to change the maf. the only difference is i have a gm maf and maft so i just need to know if i have to change just the maf or if the maft is bad, or if anyone else has other suggestions on what to do.

Wiggle around the connections.

My car did the same exact thing with the MAFT. I wiggle the connector that attached to the GM MAF side off the connector a little bit and the light went away.

Just play around w/ the plugs and that should get the light to go away.

i got a new maf out of a grand am and i was wondering if that was the same maf as the impala ss, i tried it and it is still throwing the same code and acting the same. i tried playing with the wires and that didn't fix it either, any other suggestions?
