Cecil County Dragway

Hello,

I am looking to get a number of people together to head down to the Cecil County Dragway Friday night street racing on March 19. Doors open at 5pm and racing begins at 6pm. There are many people signed up to go currently and it should be a good time to talk cars. There will be a number of DSM folks locally. I personally own a 1997 Mitsu GSX than I plan on running (hoping for 10's). Cecil County is a better track than Maple Grove. Very open and you can see all from the staging lanes. Every car we own is torn apart right now, with no assembly date in sight, it seems! If we can finally get all the snow outta here, we may make an appearance.

As long as I'm not stuck working night shift that day then I'll definitely be making the trip down. If you guys plan on a meet and cruise post a time and I'll do my best to get there.

Hey there!

So the planned meet-up location prior to heading down is Kendig Square shopping center at the corner of route 741 and route 272 South of Lancaster. The track is only 36 miles from here.
Meet at ~4:30 pm to 5:00 pm Friday, March 19th in the parking lot at the K Mart there by the Pharmacy sign (between Taco Bell and the Pharmacy sign on the K Mart).

I can't wait! My car should hopefully be back on the road this week and will have my new injectors and Stage 3 keydiver installed. Do you know how much it is to run? It's been a few years since I was there.

Well I just found out that my car won't be done for another couple of weeks. Some more info for ya: I picked up a built 6-bolt 2.3 stroker gsx which wasn't tuned and it blew the head in the first 3 days of me owning it. I have the new head, head studs, and still waiting to order a head gasket.

The car is at my uncle's shop and he goes in for knee replacement surgery on Wednesday and won't be able to get to the car until he is healed. Looks like I'm going to be missing out on this one. Maybe we could get another one scheduled sometime down the road.

How many of you guys still going? I would like some help with my dsm too before we go got an issue trying to work out with my car breaking up.. shooting for mid 12s.. anyone in the delaware are let me know... i'm about 45 minutes from the track
