Im having a no start problem, the car turns over but will not fire, every so often it will have a little sputter but will not start. It's getting spark at all 4, the fuel pump is turning on, im getting fuel at the end of the rail at the fpr and all the injectors are firing. Ive also tried replacing the coolant temp switch with another used one and no difference. The cel is coming on when i turn the key to on and it stays on so i figured id check that out. I borrowed a datalogger from a friend and it would not stay connected, it would get a connection for a few seconds then lose it again, repeatedly. The codes finally showed up, they were 02 sensor, air flow sensor, air temp sensor, tps, isc motor position sensor, coolant temp sensor, crank angle sensor, tdc sensor. Being that many codes i thought id reset and check again so i unplugged the battery and did it again this time getting knock sensor, injector circuit, fuel pump relay, egr, ing. coil, ign. circuit. With a completely different set of codes i checked again and got the first set. With all of this going on i figured i would check the ecu, it does smell like bad seafood, i couldnt really tell if there was any damage on the top but the bottom has some black stuff on one of the capacitors pins. The ecu is being sent out today for repairs. I was wondering if that would cause the problems im having? Any insight on this would be appreciated. Thanks.
