Toronto,
I'm just curious as to what kind of catch can setups you guys are running, for those of you who are running them.

at one point I remember having issue with too much vaccume when I ran the line from my intake manifold to the can then back to the hose that tee's with the PCV valve, but perhaps it was that cheap clear hose provided by greddy, that caused the problem when I found a hole in the line due to heat. from something on the block.

So I just wanted to know who's running them, how they are hooked up and the location of the can?

For those of you without the catch can system, how are your cars holding up, is a catch can somethign your considering?

Per another thread on a similar subject, I designed this catchcan. I haven't built a prototype yet, but I believe it is most similar in design to GReddy's. The only major design differences probably lay within the built-in check valve, flow valve, and baffling system.

Anyway, if I had to choose a commercially available setup, I'd probably choose the GReddy catchcan with a stock PCV valve (or maybe a PCV valve from some factory turbo car). As of now, I'm just using the stock system, and I don't seem to have any problems with it...

Is that check valve designed for vacume purposes or oil purposes.

I had a friend of mine install a screw type drainage system, so I could just unscrew it and drain the oil in it during oil changes, however I've noticed I haven't been getting much oil in it lately, which leads me to think there is something wrong with my setup.

When the car is still warming up, sometimes my car will stall out, and die, It's almost like its trying to burp the car, the oil pressure drops a little, and vaccume goes up to the zero point on the gauge, and the car will either die, or hicup back to life. At first I thought it was a fuel pressure issue, but it hadn't been like that before, so I'm thinking vacume or pcv breather system ect.
Maybe I should just make time and check all the differnt peices of the vac system again, finals at school have been killing me, spring break is almost here though.

The check valve is for vacuum purposes.

How is yours currently set up? You have the GReddy catchcan, right? It should be inline with the stock PCV system, and the valve should still be in place too.
