I am shopping for a budget catback for a 96 gst. I plan to eventually get a better catback when I do the turboback but for right now I need a cheep catback to replace my crapped out stock exhaust. I'm looking at an authority 3inch catback on dsmparts.com for 357 shipped. Does anyone know if this is a decent product? also looking at apexi world sport for 395 on modacar. Is this a decent product? I doubt the apexi is three inch but then again who knows if the authority really is or not. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I've heard nothing but good things about the 3" Tsudo N1... As a matter of fact I just bought one myself, and it should be in on Wednesday (And the insurance company should have my car fixed and back to me within the next decade...). It seems like a high quality system for the price, and it looks VERY good in my opinion. Also, I think it sounds damn good. Any exhaust on a turbo car seems to sound good, though, so you might as well not overpay. Do a search on it and see what everyone thinks. I found mine on Ebay from "Trendgear" and they are awesome so far to deal with, not to mention the least expensive after shipping. Check out this post for a sound clip :thumb:

Figured you'd want to hear more so I threw this in, not the cheapest.

Thermal research makes a 3" cat-back that sounds almost 'just' like that - but thermal costs about more. Only bad thing is it flanges down to 2.5" at the cat-converter to make it a direct bolt up for a stock car...
