i have a 1993 tsi awd turbo and i wanted to change my cat cause i just bought an exhaust manifold. i can't find what size my stock exhaust pipes are. would a 3" diameter fit on stock exhaust? please help

Just wondering, why do you have to change your cat because of a new manifold? Stock exhaust pipes are 2.25" or 2.14" something like that so no a 3" wouldn't fit. You'd need an adapter of some sort. Nice to see a local though! hahaha

i'm putting a turbo tubular manifold with a wastegate and someone said that i'd have to change my cat cause id be losing power if i don't. nice are there a few locals here?

First off you aren't going to gain any power with that tubular manifold, if it isn't a 500 dollar+ manifold than it will leak and crack. Second who ever told you that not putting on a new cat will cause you to lose power is not very smart. You can make more power down the road with a bigger exhaust, but a bigger cat on the stock exhaust would be completely worthless.

would be a better idea to buy a 3 inch turbo back exhaust. including a new o2 housing to help with the spool up. Also sounds great

I am talking about tubular manifolds, not cast manifolds.
