CAS sensor

So I had a 7 bolt built for me and when I went install my CAS sensor on the left side, the bolt that goes in it and bolts into the cams has no where to thread into it. Do I need to switch to a 6 bolt CAS?

what year was the engine you had built out of?

does it have the holes on the opposite side to bolt up a 95-96 CAS?

You can run a 1g CAS if you want.

You can always drill/tap the cam for the 97-99 CAS, 1g CAS you'd have to do a little wiring and change the firing order IIRC.

you must have a 2ga cam.

So either you gave them a 95-96 engine to build
or you gave them a 97+ engine and they put the wrong cam in it.

I did give him a 98 engine. So with it being the wrong cam it won't effect anything other than me needing a different cas?

Can I drill and tap that to With out messing up the cam?

If you decide to drill and tap be very careful. I would either take it to a machine shop and let them do it or swap out the cam.

I'm just gonna switch the cas at this point. I am a machinist but I don't feel like taking the cam back out. I'll just find a older style cas. Thank you for the help
