I did something like that on my DSM .I put it on jackstands and I made my friend get under the car and hold the tranny up as I put the bolts in it.haha I was laughing the whole time he sounded like he was gunna die.I wish we just had a trans jack o well it worked.

FWIW you can use a regular hydraulic jack and a ratchet strap in the future.

You know, having a lift in your garage is GREAT, and I'm sure if you have one, you just assume that you have to use it for everything, but I think that every once in a while, a cell phone and 2 buddies are the best tools you can use for some jobs.

Like lifting transmissions.

That's called traffic. I know you guys don't have that in texas (I've been in Dallas at 5pm on a weekday and the whole goddamned place looks like a ghost town) Seriously though I think we were in stop and go traffic, but that's my morning 50-80mph with 2 car lengths between all cars. The brakes of the evo have saved me more than once (and have almost caused me to get rear ended more than once too; gotta keep an eye on the traffic behind me if I'm hitting the brakes semi hard)

I'm from Cali, I have only been in Tx for 2 months

I hear you on that one! I was dissapointed as well. Trying to heave that tranny over his head and when he lost the jack stand

what a riced out POS....Look at those big ricer wheels and the stupid paul walker bodykit. I think anymore you have to have a dirty rusted out car to NOT be called a ricer by your own fellow DSMers. I guess yall like to see trashed interiors ,ripped seats, rusted out engine bays and stock 14" wheels!! Cause I had another member on here say even my talon is riced out cause I have 18" wheels and a vent hole in my hood
