, not yours. Mr Wheelie, up there.

My friend tyler took his "racing" lawnmower to the drags and beat a old VW bug
When I lived in VA there was this event where they raced tractors, it was interesting to say the least.

In true ricer fashion, I know for a FACT this thing probably makes about two horsepower with that giant muffler on it. These small engines operate on tuned backpressure, and a muffler that huge would offer no restriction at all. It would run the same as if the exhaust was disconnected just before the muffler....much like putting 3" exhaust on a non-turbo car.
But as long as it looks cool, it MUST be faster....right?
Just search GRASCAR.
The rednecks around here will race anything...and it's a big deal. A lot of these things are purpose-built racing lawn mowers with custom frames, etc. (I can't even type that with a straight face).
It's hilarious, and they are completely nuts...
. The only reason i would want to "tune" my lawnmower is to spend less time using it, not to make a redneck go-cartI just realized that Donk I replied to was from NC. Better yet, from Wilson. I believe the poster 1000% when he says he's seen worse. Anyone on here long enough to remember the 2g with 19" spinners? Also from Wilson.

Woooooow...I lived in Wilson for years. Went to James B. Hunt Highschool, saw a lot of ricers there. This was around the time Fast and the Furious just came out
I don't know if you'd remember this but around 03 or 04 there was this kid Brad that had the 99 civic with lambo doors, shaved, neons and SHIIIIINY chameleon paint hehehehe. I was just in wilson not long ago to visit my mother but I didn't see anything too bad. It's only gotten worse, I am so glad I wasn't born here. I'm moving back to vegas as soon as I get my house sold.
For the sake of not turning this thread into an argument about backpressure, velocity, and loss of torque without a turbo, as well as add information from personal experience, I'll go ahead and agree with you on this one.I have 3" exhaust on my n/a and it doesn't hurt my performance.
Nope not a factory Mercury wing......
