was working on my speakers today, when my cd player just stopped playing. So i try to start the car, and all i hear is a clicking noise, sounds like its coming from underneath the driver side headllight area. Im afraid to jump it because of that clicking noise. Is it safe to jump it or not?

Are you sure the clicking is not the starter solenoid, it normally makes a clicking noise when the battery doesnt have enough juice to power the starter all the way to turn the engine over to start it.

Is it safe to say that you were doing work to your speakers while the car was off?
