ok I need to move my car to secure storage after being stolen for the second time.. Now when I put the key to start my car it won't start.

usually when I put the key in the ignition and turn, the dashlights come on and then the engine turns over.. now its like nothing happens at all.

I know the battery has lots of power because I can turn the headlights on and the dashlights also come on full bright.

I think the thief may have used a flat screwdriver to start the ignition so maybe the ignition solenoid itself is broken.

There doesn't appear to be any wires around the steering column or under the dash that have been tampered with, nor are any fuses blown or missing.

How can I get my car started so I can move it?.. I'm thinking of having the ignition solenoid and door locks changed on insurance, so maybe I will have to hotwire my own car.

I suppose I could have it flatbed towed but I'd rather drive it to storage.

Any tips? If you know how to hotwire these cars please don't post in public, PM me. Thanks

man dude i dont have a solution for you but i just wanted to say that sucks and im sorry it stolen twice i dint know canada was that rough in the streets haha but in all seriousness lock that shit up man save the dsm you got lucky to find it twice with no missing parts

well try this take out the yo-yo from behind the key ignition and try to start it str8 threw there . is easy , its white has to screws if i can tomorow ill take a picture for u. but its simple. take of the cover 2 screws or 4 on the bottom . then on the left side bottom of the steering wheel your gona see it a white circle yo-yo 2 screws on it take it off, then try to turn it on from there.

man I feel for you for having your car stolen twice... just get some full proof security for that car. sorry Im no help on your problem though.. best of luck.

just curious...have you checked the battery cables really well?...mine wasnt stolen but i had a bad positive cable and it did the same thing...had juice in the battery...enough to get the lights and everything...but as soon as i turned it over everything was gone...maybe they disconnected the battery to try and reset something when they stole it and didnt put the cable back on good...just throwing ideas out there

Sounds like the the ignition contact in the switch, which powers all engine components. Probably busted, simple fix just funds as u said. good luck.

Ok I tried to take the yoyo out from the bottom of the ignition and turn it manually there but still nothing happening.. I took of the harness and bridged the wires there and its like theres nothing happening still.. like theres no power to the ignition solenoid.

I checked all the fuses under the hood and under the dash and none are blown.. what else could I try? Could the ECU be fried? Is there another fuse I need to check? Come to think of it the only fuse I didnt check was the double fuse under the yellow casing.. I will recheck that one later

Still the headlight come on strong, I can honk the horn, and the dome lights are strong.. lots of juice..

Sounds like a def. ignition switch to me. Let me get this right though, 1)key in 2) turn to start position
3) engine does not turn over. Check your starter power cable, but i'm pretty sure it will be the switch. And where do you park your car bro. I live on the west end and have no problems, my buddy (focker420) did get his 420a thats done up like crazy get jacked up well it was at the tuners. South side down by showgirls.

Yea key in, turn to ignition - nothing (I should at least be able to roll my windows up and down, and have some lights on the dash light up), then to start - nothing..

Guess I will have to trace the power all the way from the batt to the switch
