Car wont rev past 1000-1500 (idle) will stall out if you give it any gas and is was 10 minutes before and all day yesterday it would not rev past 5500 almost like a stuterbox launch but it would rev higher than 5500 in all the gears including neutral. Please help thanks.

sounds to me like unmetered air is entering the engine... have you done a boost leak test?

Could it be because the honey combs are removed on my 2g maf but i have the eprom ecu chipped for it and i am running apexi safc to help correct the air/fuel.

* Ok it seems the plug for the throttle body came off due to me not having the metal clips, i bought it this way and i knew about dsm's and why i need them.


However i still cant rev past 4500-5500, is this due to the honeycombs are out of the maf?

boost leak test, get one done then come back, i had the same kind of problem right after my rebuild, and it just ended up a injector seal was torn

No it was the ecu, since it was a eprom one i had a chip made for it but the chip was bad and had voids and the epoxy was peeling on the chip.

It was all the ecu fault, a different maf helped so i switched one out but not much better till i swapped the ecu

So my 91 wont start unless i unplug fuel pump and turn it over then plug it in and it will start. When i give it gas it wont rev just idle or stall. Then it wont start and it reeks of unburned fuel. Ive fixed all bad wires, checked cts ecu fuel filter and fpr. I even took my evo 560's and put stock 450 injectors. It fired up then stalled and wont start. Help guys

I would start with a leak down test and a blt. If they turn out good do a compression test.

leak down test? I dont have any boost leaks. It runs now just wont rev when i give it gas it either dies or eventually rev up

Sounds like a problem with the maf sensor, maf signal or an injector driver in the ecu.

i have 2 2g mafs and i tried both they are good. I pulled ecu out and put in a eprom ecu. They both look good not leaking. How can i tell?
