car wont idle and hesitates to rev after getting gas at safeway!!!

ok so my car was down for a day or two because my radiator cracked and i had to get a new one...today i finished it up, filled with coolant, all the good stuff and started it up to go get some gas. It ran just fine, boosted like normal, i hit boost with just one gear because the gas station is like a mile away from my house.....so after i get 10bucks of 91 my car feels funny and backfires very minimal. So i pulled over in the next parking lot to pop my hood and check for any hoses or anything that may have blown off when i hit boost. All seems fine and the idle is getting worse and worse every minute that the engine is running...by the time that i was almost back to my house (1 mile or less) I was struggling just to keep the car running, giving it almost 30% throttle just to keep it idleing. I have dsmlink and everything looks ok but its very hard to log when the car wont idle. And no engine lights were thrown. So far i have done a boost leak test, checked my plugs, check my COP connection, and basically looked around for anything that looked amiss. Nothing.

What could be causing this? Should i even bother to check the gas? cause it feels like a really bad boost leak but im not leaking at all.

And would a faulty 02 throw a code?

well i got a little log of idle and the voltage looks wierd on the front 02...whats normal voltage?

Check your valve timing. Belts tend to fail at idle and startup. If this began as soon as you started, the gas has nothing to do with it. If it took it a couple of minutes, it could be the gas.

Ya it wasnt like as soon as i cranked it over the car was crap.....it was fine when i pulled away from the station then started to feel wierd, then was idling like crap when i got to the other parking lot, then when i was on my way back home it was struggling to keep running. Thats why i thought it was the gas.

My timing belt is fine too btw, But im gonna go ahead and change my CAS, Coil Pack, and check out my COP just to be certian.

I do believe that dsmlink has a function to turn on the fuel pump alone for draining the gas tank, its under ECU misc. right?

It Does sound like he put diesel in the car or he got some bad gas. Especially since the car started acting up after he put the gas in.

Well no shit sherlock. However he IS having problems getting the car to run after filling up on "91" isn't he? Therefore it COULD be a number of things. Like grabbing the wrong handle at some pumps, pressing the wrong selection button, mislabled pump, or a diesel resevoir tank filled with gasoline by a resupply truck.

ok well i drained the tank, and got some fresh 91 and its doing the same crap.....worst idle iv ever seen. But when im giving it throttle (90% or more) ill rev up ok, and I 2-steped and it built boost fine. but it just dies after a few seconds of crappy idle still.

i guess some ecu wiring got loose....does anybody know of a good safc/ecu wiring diagram because I cant really search, my internet cuts in and out so it only works for like a minute at a time. A link would be wonderful. Thanks.

hmmm.....not the wiring. I redid all my wiring and nothing changed, it still acts the same way as it did. What else should I look for?

Safeway is a grocery store chain over here on the West Coast and they have started selling gas over the last few years. I've never gotten gas there, but I haven't necessarily heard of it being bad gas... Was the gas truck there filling the resevoirs at the same time you were filling up? If it was, there is a chance that you could have gotten a bunch of the gunk that builds up on the bottom of the gas reseviors, which gets mixed around while being re-filled.

WORD TO ALL: Do not get gas at a station that is being re-filled by a truck or was re-filled in the last few hours. It just ups the chance of getting a bad tank of gas...

i already drained the tank and redid my ecu wiring. Neither were a fix.

Did your car overheat when you broke the radiator?

No because it was a small drip leak and I topped the radiator off before I drove it home (like 20 miles) so there was no possiblility of over heating.
