car wants to stall when i touch the gas

If the motor isn't up to operating temp, as soon as i touch the gas, the car will bog down and want to stall. If i mash on the gas, it will rev up ok. Does this every time i start the car. Other than that, it runs great.

No boost leaks....already checked.

I am leaning toward coolant temp sensor, but would like other opinions.

Not just the coolant temp sensor, but also the wires leading to it could be bad/frayed/cut etc.

Check teh throttle close switch and the wire...mine had a cut in the insulation and bare wire was touching the tb elbow and it was doing the exact same thing yours is. I re wired it and it has been fine ever since. I have also seen these act similar when the coolant temp sensor was crap, but if it is it will normally throw a CEL.

I have no CEL, and the temp shows up on the logger. Checked the closed throttle switch and wire....its fine too.

Any other ideas.

Just for shits and giggles...un plug the throttle close switch completely and see if anything changes.

Just for shits and giggles try unplugging your o2 sensor and touching the gas to see if that helps any. I had a bad o2 sensor do this to my talon a while back. If you unplug the o2 sensor your ecu should revert to a "limp home setting" but run.
