Car takes at least 15 times to start, then it dies, and when it idles it's at 2000RPM

I've got a small 16g (ported), 2.5" upper intercooler piping, walbro255, 3" gm maf mounted in the uic piping and a version 1.03 translator those are the main thigns that would affect my A/f ratio. I try to start the car at least 15 times and it still doesn't start, and when it gets close to starting, it idles at like 1500rpm's for a second or two then dies down. And when it finally idles, it's at 2200'ish rpm! I don't know if it's because I'm not getting enough fuel, or if I'm not getting enough air, or both, or what?!?!?!?! I've got an AFc but I haven't installed it yet, and I can't install it until the car at least idles right, what should I do? What does rich mean and what does lean mean? (I always get them mixed up) Any help is great, their might be oil in the plugs too but I'm gonna change them today anyways. THanks~Brandon.

It could just be your car warming up. Mine idles at about 2100 until it gets up to a certain temperature... It only did it after I switched to a 1g throttle body though.

Sounds like somethings wrong with your GM MAF, mine did the same thing when i put mine in. Just take apart that plug where the GM MAF meets with your cars stock harness, the plug has a very hard time meeting up properly and even if it looks ok sometimes it gives you trouble. Other than that check the white wire that meets up with the CAS so the MAf can sense rpms, if that isnt soldered in it can cause problems. Did you install the GM MAF long ago? My car took a little while to get used to it, after driving it for a few min it started up just fine later once i fixed the plug. Good luck!
