Car sways VIOLENTLY over bumps

Hey guys, so I got dropzone shocks/springs on my car (they came with car when i bought it, so don't blame me), and since i bought it i've noticed that the car sways all over the damn road everytime i go over a bump or hole. It's starting to get annoying, because the steering wheel shakes violently. I went underneath the car yesterday and noticed that all the bushings are dryrotted. Other than that i got 17's with 40 profile tires on it right now. Any suggestions as to why my car sways like it does, and what would be a good master bushing set to buy. I kind of like the prothane's because of the split design. I've been looking at them but I can't seem to figure out whether they come with every bushing I need, so if someone that has them on their car could point me in the right direction that would really help.

Start off by checking entire suspension system both front and rear.Check your rack and pinion inner and outer tie rods and all your bushings In my car I used energy suspension bushings and moog steering parts. Also check your springs,after a period of time they begin to sag you might want to check the struts

Are your sway bar links even connected to the sway bar? If they're broken, then nothing's connecting the sway bar to the suspension.

40 "series" tires tell us nothing about the actual size of the tire without knowing the first number (width) in the tire equation. For example, you could have 215/40/17 or you could have 315/40/17. The two tires will look MILES different and be of totally different sidewall heights. It doesn't have anything to do with your problem; in fact, the less sidewall you have, generally the better handling you will have.

Good shocks will damp the body motion after just one or two bounces after you hit a bump. If your car is still bouncing up and down like a pogo stick long after you hit one bump, chances are your shocks are no good. Now if your car is swaying side-to-side...then you should probably start by checking all the bushings on your control arms. Not sure what else could contribute to excessive side-to-side swaying other than that.
