:dsm: Can any one give me advice....
My problem is the my car started squeaking today, its squeaks when first started, it also squeaks when turning, or when i turn the AC on. I checked my PS fluid and it looks good, i put belt dressing on all my belts and the damn squeaking still there can any one help me do i need to tighten the accesories belt and if so how can i do it? can any one provide a walk thru? i'll take any advice..........Help! :dsm:

Sounds like your PS belt is too loose or possibly a bearing in the PS unit and maybe the AC belt loose also. Belt dressing is never a good idea. Did you change belts recently or get them wet with any fluid other than water? Sqweeks when turning left/right is usually the PS belt. You can verify it by removing the belt and see if the sqweek goes away if just tightening it doesn't do it. Adjust PS belt by loosing the 3 bolts (2 thru the pulley 1 on other side), insert a pry bar between the unit and the block, stretch the belt tight, tighten bolts. The alternator belt is easy. Just loosen the lock bolt and turn the adjuster bolt to stretch belt, tighten lock bolt. The AC belt is similiar but just looks different and may be harder to get at (& has a more elaborate adjuster).

yur belt needs to be tensioned. I had the same problem, when i started my car it sqeaked, when i turned my lights or my a/c on, it squeaked. Unfortunately days later my water pump/alternator belt broke and i had to replace it. Squeaking went away, although it came back days later. So i learned the belt needed tensioning and now i have no squeaks. Changing yur belt is not gonna take care of the problem, although i know no one said anything about it, just letting u know.
