Well if you made it this far and opened my thread, thank you. Recently a few nights ago I was doing some heavy launching on my MT ET Drags. Since that night I have noticed that my car tends to flash the Oil Light, CEL (?) amoungst a few other dummy lights and shut down. The car will immediatly fire back up when I turn the ignition over. I have recently been having an idle issue where SOMETIMES she'll like to idle around 300 R's or so. I've diagnosted this to most likely be the ISC. However, I am not too concerned aobut my idle. I do have a theory that the idle is dipping so low and not showing on the tach for that split second when the brake is applied, or between a 1-2 shift. However, I see the problem to be irrelevent to my idle, as my idle has been acting this way for several months.
I intend to check my battery terminal connections after completeing this post, which I try to do on a weekly basis amoungst other small things. Later this afternoon I would like to swap my ECU with my friends '95 GS-T if he is going to be available. Hopefully I can rule out bad caps on the ECU. The DSM has 47k original miles; however it was properly stored for three years give or take. The fact that is has sat leads me to think corrosion is a possible demon.
On an unrelated note, after reading that people tend to notice a clicking of relay's on the passenger side of the vehicle when experiencing symptoms of a bad ECU, I decided to investigate my clicking as well. It has been determined that it is coming from my gReddy Profec A Electronic Boost Controller. The clicking is coming from the metallic color "brain box" which I will call it. It is the "box" where the electrical connection as well as the nylon and rubber hose run to. I believe there are three total, as well as one electrical connection made with an electrical plug. This clicking only occurs when the ignition key it turned in the Accessory position.

Well, once again, if you have made it this far, I do greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for anyone's help/responses/time.
WHEEEW :boring:

sounds like its almost certianly an electical problem. Id say check your O2 sensor wire and make sure its not touching your exhaust manifold and make sure none of the wires on your alternator are touching.

Good call there. Stock heatshield is on and in place, O2 wires and alternator wires are not in the way. No wires are touching the exhaust heat shield. One problem I possibly see that could cause excessive heat even though the wires are not touching it is that the OUTSIDE of the heatshield is painted black rather than the inside. Maybe I will try an unpainted one as it was painted within the last three weeks. Keep the replies coming till we fix this fellas!! :rocks: :rocks: :rocks:

I rerouted the oxygen sensor wires further away from the exhaust manifold using a series of zip ties, although im sure the clips on the exhaust manifold would have proved fine. There has been no change in performance as of yet. Any further explainations would be appreciated. Thanks for any help at all. Feel free to post any ideas. Lets brainstorm fellas.
(a search has proved useless so far.)
