last night i was driving home and a truck wanted some. he kept antagonizing me so i left him in the dust, but when i hit 95 mph my car just shut off. i'll spare the horrifying details about barely escaping with my life and car intact and just ask, what the hell happened? as soon as i had the car slowed down to 10 mph i popped the clutch and it started right back up and is running great, which leads me to believe it is/was an air/fuel problem. also, i have a vacuum leak from my mani to my bov. i don't know if that would cause the car to shut off though, just fuel cut. any thoughts, especially good ones, would be appreciated!

thanks

have you messed with any of your intercooler piping?, or ad a pipe somewhere "custom" built, anyways, seems like you may have the same problem i had a long time ago, i mistankly put pvc coupler on a uicp cause it was cracked and leaking, after i did that, my piping kept blowing off and making my car shutdown, check all your piping and make sure nothing is loose and everything is in place, otherwords ide say you may have expierenced fuel cut, or some kinda high compression shutdown, but ushally when that happens to me my car wont shut off, this only happened when a pipe blew off, and i could figure out how it happened cause it would pop out under heavy boost then my car would shut off and the pipe would slid back enough that i couldnt notice anything.

give me a description on all yours mods and what psi are you running at, if you trying to push 18-19-20 on nearly stock motor, your prone to you car dieing and shutting off and fuel cut at high rpms. typicall under heavy acceleration above 3rd gear.

stroked 2.3L. gt28rs turbo. greedy uicp w/ ssqv bov. full exhaust. other stuff that isn't important here. only pushing 15 psi. the only leak i know of is the vacuum line going from the mani to the bov. the car didn't just stutter like it would have in those situations, or not allow boost. it completely shut down.
