car shaking at 80 brand new tie rads what eles can be wrong?

Your alignment could be off, your wheels could be out of balance, your tread could be scalloped(I think thats the term) meaning some tread is higher then other knobs...which causes a VERY VERY bad vibration and shakes the car more as speed increases. I would check those three things first and then go from there

get it aligned, thats first and most important. then work from there.

My del sol did that at like 50 and up, it was a bent axle. I replaced both and it fixed the problem. I'd check the inexpensive things first though, wheel balance, alignment, tire pressure etc.

Mine used to do that too but for some reason just stopped. Def try alignment though.

There is a lengthy thread on this on dsmtalk. A number of things can be wrong... you've already ruled out tie rods... it can also be:

worn hub bearings
worn ball joint
worn CV joint
worn suspension bushings... etc.

All together for parts including tie rods is like $1500.

I've got new axles with new CVs and my steering wheel shakes under braking. I'll be going over the list above one by one once I can afford to do anything to the car.

already got a 4 wheel alignment and brand new tires on the front and a 1 year old left axel and wheel bearing bamd new shocks tokiko 5 ways got new ball jionts because of the recall about 1 year ago

Edit. Delete. Duplicate post.

Check wheels for balance. Check suspension bushings.

Does it progressivly get worse as speed increases? if so run your hands on your tire tread and fell for uneven tread, meaning when ou do that if you dont fell smoothness and feel bumpy tire then thats your problem. Did the tires go on before all the suspension work? If so worn or bent suspension parts cause tires to "scallop"(uneven tread). So if you havent checked for uneven tread please do that, cause my girfriends 95 del slow did that and that was the exact problem.
