Complete Car Shaking

Ok, this problem has progressivly gotten worse over the past month and now is horrible.

Ive had new tires put on the car, all 4 wheels balanced and a 4 wheel alignment and still it shakes. The car shakes bad @ 50 mph and gets worse as I go faster so I keep it @ 50 but now over the weekend (with no driving) it has gotten even worse. I aired the tires up thinking that might be the problem but it wasnt and now the car shakes horribly @ 25 mph on up. It started off as the rear view mirror shaking and now the hatch glass seems as though its going to break with the shaking.

I am at a loss for what it could be.

Check your fluid levels in your transfercase and rear diff. Check if your rims are warped in anyway(Do a rim run-out test) and check if your driveshaft U joints have excessive play.

Went out crawled uunder the car, grabbed the U-Joint about half way down the car and Id say it had atleast a 1/4" of play. is that over excessive?

Quarter inch doesn't sound excessive at all. It should have a little bit of movement.

What kind of shaking is it?

Also, does the engine seem reluctant to go faster? Does it rev and accelerate smoothly?

Ive got the same problem, plus the engine seems a little reluctant.

Engine runs fine.

Im pretty sure its the u- joint supports. On my way to work this a.m I noticed a viberating noise coming from the middle of the car as I was slowing down around 10 mph, it would happen every time.

Check your bushings from the crossmember to rear differential. Mine were fubared so I put in some aluminum ones yesterday and now I dont have the problem.
