I say check everything in the front steering linkage and make sure nothing is bent or loose,ck your axles, check your lugnuts and make sure all of your wheels are torqued down right, and check the wheel balance on all 4 wheels and make sure you dont have a bent wheel. let me know how everything checks out :thumb:

would any of that cause the backend to just about slide?

The backend feeling sloppy can sometimes be related to bad camber. If you lowered your car and didn't get a camber kit in the rear and an alignment, then that might be why.

I am assuming you meant shakes and curve.

Can you describe the shake at all.

Take a picture from the back of your car and post it up and people with help you recognize what camber is. It is the angle at which your tires differ from the vertical position while viewing hte tires head on. Stand behind your car, kneel down, and look at the tires. Do they stick out at the bottom?

Next walk around your car and put your foot at the top edge of the tire. Push really hard. If you see the tire move or hear a little click click click then you may have a bad bearing.

Here is a poor little visual to help describe camber to you:

Bad: /---\ Good: |---|

Pretend as though you are standing directly behind your car. When you kneel down and look forward, do the tires remain vertical or do they stick out at the bottom more? If they stick out, then your camber is too negative. You probably need a camber kit and alignment, or possibly just an alignment.

I didn't think to mention a wheel bearing to you, but that is a definite possibility. I have a bad wheel bearing on the passenger side rear which I am about to replace (Waiting for the part to be shipped). My car shakes a little bit when I hit about 80. Also, it makes this repetitive metallic swooshing when I hit about 40MPH (Very quietly), but escalates to a less frequent and louder whirring/humming noise when I go 65+ MPH and go around righthand curves.

ok let me try to expland it. it is not really a sake it is more like the right back part of the car (when going around a left hand carve more than 40mph) moves like i am"fish tailing it" it does not do it when i take a right handed carve i have no idea

no i mean when i take a left curve the back right end moves side to side it is not normal it is very hard to explain so i am not dumb i just don't know a term for it

C'mon, don't be mean.

Check your shocks and struts to make sure they're tight. If your suspension becomes loose, it can cause your car to loose control around turns.

Have you checked your tire tread? I would start there before going into more intricate things. Compare your passenger tire tread with your driver side tire tread. Since it's fishtailing on left turns, the outside corner in question would be the passenger side rear tire. While your there, check to make sure the rim isn't bent. You might have to remove the tire because the inner side of the rim may be bent and not showing.

Someone already mentioned this but make sure your lugnuts are in tight too.. but I assume that's not the problem because you'd be hearing some pretty awful noises.

If it's not those simple things, it might be something pretty bad like the previous owner curbed it really hard and bent a control arm or really tossed up the alignment.
