Okay so I was boost leak testing my car. I heard a leak coming from the TB. So I took my TB off, and looked on VFAQ to replace the TB Shaft seals. I did that. Assembled her up like I just took her off. Replaced the gaskets. Hooked up the coolant lines, and all the other sensor on the throttle body. TB opend and closed fine, everything seemed to be perfect. This was last night.

I start up, took a lot more turns to start up, and she ran fine. After about a min, the engine would idle down like it will die, then go up 1500 rpm, and then act like it will die then 1500 rpm. Very slowly, not quickly jumping to 1500 rpm. I was called it a night and tried for this morning.

I took the TB off double checked everything, and everything seems to be perfect. I put her back in. Start the car, it runs fine for about 10 sec, and dies down. During last night, and this time there is loud hissing come from the TB, but I can not pin point the source, everything looked fine this morning during removal. My vacuum stays at 20 for the 10 sec, then as the engine dies, the vacuum goes back to 0. I'm really confused.... I'm going to go back out there and play around some more. Thx Jon

My suggestion would be to check your Closed throttle position sensor. The one on the back side of the throttle body. Make sure it is adjusted right, manual says to take it to touch point and then turn 15/16 more after touch point. I would also put a lite coat of silacone on your gaskets, and your ISC o-ring. Then go through the prosses of resetting the idle. I hope this helps you. I had the same problems and that's what fixed mine. :talon:

Hey thx for the quick reply. Yeah I will check that. The hissing sound is constant, whether I'm playing with the throttle to keep her open, or she is getting ready to die. The hissing doesn't increase nor decrease, if this helps. Also it slightly hisses for a second or two after engine stops running.

Did you happen to remove the pcv vacuum line? Double check all the vacuum lines just to make sure. It does sound like the pcv vacuum or the brake booster vacuum line. :talon:
