So, the other day I had a new alternator put in, and last week I had a new fuel pressure regulator installed. Pressure is at 43, and it is set as such in ECMlink.
I noticed going down the road since my alternator went out and I got a new one, that whenever I shift, the car stops running, now I haven't had the AFPR in long enough to know whether or not it is part of the problem.
Not only that, I got home, hooked up link, verified fuel pressure, and checked for any obvious boost leaks. I noticed one of my screws had come loose on my exhaust manifold, so I screwed it back in. I ran link, made some minor adjustments to my MAFcomp at idle, but here is my main problem. When running down the road (cruise) I am between 14.5:1 and 14.9:1 A/F ratio (wideband isn't logged). When I am idling, and during this entire idle log that I've posted, I am fluctuating between 15:1 and 20:1, waaay lean. The front o2 will cycle sometimes like it should, then other times it will cycle very slowly, as in several seconds showing lean, then several seconds showing rich, at these points my wideband will show as low as 15:1 or as high as 20:1 at idle, but when it is cycling it stays pretty near 17:1. As stated earlier though, it seems to stay real close to 14.7:1 when cruising.
So I'm having possibly 2 different problems with the cut-off and the A/F and weird idle, I've attached an idle log if it helps diagnose my problem....
So, what can I do to either
a) idle better,
b) keep the car running when I shift, or
c) fix both problems ??
