I have a weird problem with my car and it got way worse after I did my under hood shifter brushings. THe original issue was not big, but what was happening was my car would run like crap for the first few accelerations on a cold start. It would suck in air but lag A LOT.. this happened mainly when it was cool or cold out. It wouldn't take that long to go away though... but the other day I installed my under hood shifterbrushigns and I took off the mas and the filter to get to it easier. I put everything back when I was done and tried to start the car and it died.. duh, I forgot to plug the mas back in.. after I plugged it in it started, but ran like sh** for little while.. ever since when I first start the car it runs like sh**... I don't know what cold be causing this. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thank you in advance.

Sparkplugs
Sparkplug wires
Boost leaks
Timing related
fuel related
clogged air filter/bad mafs

There is a variety of possibilities. Start with the cheapest things first, And work your way up. Boost leak test being the cheapest...

Yeah, I know all that, but it only hapened right after I put in the shifter brushings and I forgot to plug in the mas and then plugged it back in. Can that mas get damaged by something? Is there something I should do with that mas? Try to clean it? Anything?
