car Randomly doesnt start!

Ok its a 1999 gsx, i was driving home yesterday, and it was in 5th and i was going about 60mph and the stutterd for a second and i was like wtf, nothing happened after that. So i wake up this morning start the car, it stutters and dies. If i give it a gas then it starts but then when it goes back to idle it stutters then dies agin. I have a small oil leak, and i thought maybe i was low on oil so i added some but still the same thing, can anyone help me with this?

could possilbly be a vacuum leak.

Check your fuel pressure. It might be your fuel pump.

Also, you might wanna check your coil. I believe autozone or checkers have some kind of equipment to check these.

hmm well i thinking about it and im thinkin its my fuel pump, because i ve been running on empty lately and i heard that messes with the fuel pump.

-and if i have to get a new fuel pump, will a 190 fuel pump do anything to my vcar if all i have right now is intake?

it does sound like a lack of fuel. especially if u pump the throttle and start it and it starts. sounds like your starter, distributor, etc are all working. like everyone else said, check your fuel pump.

190 lph should be ok on it, please correct me if im wrong

A Walbro 190 should be okay. Next time do not make it a habit to always run on low fuel. The reason behind that is that the pump is soaked in fuel which helps in cooling the fuel pump. You can also find a used Evo fuel pump if you are planning to replace it. It's cheaper than a brand new Walbro. Also, since you're at it, have your coil checked. It's free at autozone or checker. If you have an ohm meter you can check the resistance. It might be out of spec already.

mmmk, well i saw a recall on teh fuel pump, how would i do that if i cant move my car anywhere?

so i just added about $20 of gas, and it was a hard start but now it runs and doesn't stall, and turns on fine. but i think im still going to get the recall done this or next week.
