Wow thats pretty crazy. I think the following would help if you could answer.

Do you have any proof that you purchased it?
Were you paying his business or the bank for the car?
Is it all payed off or were you still making payments?

It doesnt hurt to call a lawyer and ask them what you can do. I have been to court a few times and I couldnt afford a lawyer, but most times they will give you suggestions over the phone for FREE. Just call and see what they can suggest. Good luck

yes i have the contract for the purchase of the car. 2 i was paying the busines i have all the checks that i sent to him i took copies of them. 3 i was giving payments still i was gonna be done september of this year. since the owner of the business told me he was gonna die i put all my money togrther and saved for the pay of but he died in tne 3 weaks that took me to save the money so now i dont have the tittle.

Contact his wife or son. They can legally sign over a deceased family members title to you.
I Have bought a few vehicals from dead guys in the past, And thats how I dealt with the title problems.
The DMV does not care how you get the signature, Just that it is there and the sale was legit.

Since you have all the paper work, I see no problems for you.
Just dont run your mouth about it when at the DMV. Get in and out.

If the title's not in your name, it was never your car. If you have a bill of sale, go to the probate court. And learn to goddamned type, or it'll look like you may have lost out just because you're stupid.

Unless this guy was a hobbit (but then he probably wouldn't of had a car to sell), he has someone taking care of his ish post-mortem. Talk to them. No need to go to court or hire a lawyer (e.g. spend money) if they can work it out with you.

I would definitely talk to a lawyer. It sounds like you have some sort of bill of sale/contract for it and copies of checks you've made payment you should be in good shape. The "executor of his estate" or someone with his "power of attorney" can sign for you. They/you may have to apply for lost title as well. But a competent attorney in this area of expertise should know what to do
