Car not running, no spark

hello, new to the forum here, sorry if this has been asked before, but i have been reading and trying to find answers but am having no luck. I kind of need to try and figure this out as soon as possible.

ok so the history of what happened is, fuel lite came on, was making my way to the gas station, car stalled out. which suprised me as i know i should have been able to make it further to get fuel than i did. tried starting the car again, the car started but died within 5 - 10 seconds after, then would not start at all.

so i went and got 10 liters of fuel thinking that i just ran out of gas but nothing still. towed the car home at which point i determined that there was power at the fuel pump but the pump did not run. swapped the fuel pumps and now the fuel pump runs, but i dont believe i am getting any spark.

took out 2 different plugs and did the test for spark, but no spark. then unplugged the coil pack triangle connector, had constant 12v on the top wire, and while cranking had absolutely nothing on the bottom 2. but still 12 v on the top one.

swapped ecus and that did not solve anything, swapped the coil packs, that did not do anything.

what do i need to check next?

The first thing you should have swapped would have been the power module. They are quite fragile. A power surge from running the fuel pump with no fuel in it might have been enough to damage it. No spark at the coilpacks without the transistors!

So try swapping that out. I keep a spare.

Like he said^^^. It's the black plastic thing on the intake mani with a 5 or 7 pin connector. Also test the cam angle sensor, if the ecu don't know the engine is turning then no need for spark.

ya im having a same prob with no spark had a new head put on car ran good for about 30 miles i slow down to get off freeway car shuts off no spark it cranks fine i replaced the cps but nothing happened any ideas

check your ignition module, CAS, and temp coolant sensor..i would definetly check those...

as was said before check the cam angle sensor or even the crank sensor as well

iwould sugest the transistor(ignition control module) or the coil pack if you already changed the cas

when this hapens the the things you should test first are the temp sensors then the coil pack then the transistor if that fails it's definately the cas if not them check your wiring

im having the same problem on my car except i tested everything and the only thing wrong is my cas but that is good its the crank signal little black wire that is dead and i still havnt figured out whera it goes and y it dosent work
