The problem i'm having is that the car goes into boost and the exhaust gets very loud and the car doesn't rev out as it should. It seems to do it more when it's cold and seems to go away once the car has warmed up but sometimes it does it when its warmed up and i have a check engine light which is for the ISC motor would that cause the problem i'm having. Any help is very appreciated

i had an exhaust leak by the manifold,o2 to downpipe and by the downpipe to exhaust. But i fixed all that now and i pulls a little harder and i have an autometer boost gauge and i am boosting 12-13psi. I am going to do a boost leak test next. I am wondering why it runs fine sometimes with a boost leak wouldn't it run poorly all the time.

I had the same problem with my car, 7cm gasket was leaking due to a bad(warped) cast iron 2g manifold.
Mine was leaking even at idle, as soon as you start your car when its cold, put your hand all around the exhaust, anywhere before the turbine housing will give you problems with spool/power.
Then get a good boost leak test and be on your way. :)

Check out www.vfaq.com. I used this to make my boost leak tester. Got most of the all the parts from home depot and the local auto store. It ended up costing less than $10 to make. Also remember when doing your boost leak test to spray down the UICP,LICP, all vaccum lines,BOV,Injectors,Throttle body with soapy water it will make finding the leaks a hell of alot easier.

did a boost leak test they are no leak. I met a someone who said they had the same kind of problem with there car and he said that i should try switch back to #6 spark plugs and see if that works. I am currently running #7 ngk's. Just wanted to know if that makes sense to try.:dsm:

I would give it a try and made sure I gapped them properly. Wouldn't hurt! Once you do it you should post your results.

Be easier on it when the car isnt warmed up. When its cold its gona run like crap.
As for the problem happening when its warm also the spark plugs are definitely something you should check.
If you are near stock 6ES is what you should use.
Let us know if this helps

ISC motors DO NOT throw check engine lights. The light is most like an o2 sensor, which would affect performance if it was bad.
