Car missing horribly.. at random while cruising..

Ok.. first off.. my alternator is definatly on the way out.. it charges infrequently and then comes on. then quits working... and so on.. it has been this doing this a couple of days.. and i intend to replace it soon..

the other problem though.. MAY be related to the alt.. maby not.. I dunno..

but this problem ONLY occurs when the alt IS charging..


just cruising along at say... 40mp or howerver fast.. the car will start missing.. BAD.. like it feels like im going over bumps or something.. if i let off the gas for a sec and let it rev down.. and then hit the gas again almost every time it works as normal and it goes away. but comes back later..


oh yea, i get alot of alt noise in my speakers at odd times.. like the whineing noies.. LOUD.. dunno about that crap

anywho.. since the alt is crapped out im guessing that the misfire prob is probably related to the alt.. and i guess ill know for sure when i replace it..


mods that may effect this are:

magnecor wires.. about 2 years old

new ngk BPR7ES Plugs

stock coils

wlabr 255 high pressure pump

B&M command flow

S-AFC

1g block/head with 1g CAS rewired via magnus motorsports method.


I dont get it.. under acceleration.. it will build boost.. haul ass.. this probel mis 99% occruing only when at a constant speed for several miniutes..

well none of you know or care i guess..

but supposidly this is a problem.. something about the 1g CAS pissing off the 2g ECU.. i need to install a potentiometer on a certin wire to make it go away..

but i dont know what wire or what kind of potentiometer... apparently this is not terribly uncommin..

if i reset the ECU.. it wont do it untill the next time i turn the car off and back on again..

Sorry i have no idea what the porblem could be, but for the last couple days my cars been misfiring when I'm on the highway using my cruise control. It doesnt happen often enough to scare me but if you figure out whats wrong with your car, that might help me out as well.

It's your alternator, I had the exact same problem on my last dsm and when I changed the Alternator the car went back to normal. I am almost positive thats your problem.

I am having this exact same problem and the alternator on my car is brand new. Please tell meif you figure out what it is
