Quick question: Today is the first time I have taken my DSM on the freeway since taking it out of storage for the winter. I just replaced the oil and installed a 6bolt OFH and B&M Oil cooler. The temperature today was about 38*, I let my car warm up before driving as usual. On the freeway I was sitting steady at 70 PSI, and 175-180*F, while at 3100-3300 RPM. Now this seems really high to me, but I'm used to driving it during the summer when the ambient air temp is near 80*. I believe I still have my balance shafts and my OFH is only mildly ported. My gauges are electronic and reading off the OFH. Let me know what you think.

What weight oil are you using? What gauge are you running and are you sure its reading correctly? If you only mildly ported it, I would suggest porting the relief valve some more.

If you haven't deleted the balance shafts then yes the pressure is high and porting the OF housing more should bring the pressure down. And are you certain the BS haven't been deleted? If the pressure is still high after porting the OF more, I would suggest trying a different gauge.
