Car misses badly after long idle

I left my car running for about 15 minutes today, it was already at operating temperature, and when I gave it a little throttle to back up it sputtered and died. I started it back up and it wouldn't rev over 4k and felt like a really bad misfire. Just finished a boost leak test which came out fine. I have been getting a CEL for the ISC motor, could it be causing the car to run like this? As long as I drive it's fine but when i let it idle for more than a couple minutes it runs like this. TIA

Well the problem occurs when the car idles...You're having a problem with the ISC which controls idle speed. Although there could be another cause, i would say the evidence points to the isc causing your problem, it just makes sense.

should be the isc motor. you can test to see if it's going bad w/ a voltmeter between the prongs. need to test for resistance (ohms)

Yeah it makes sense to me also and it's something that needs to be replaced anyway, but I've never heard of the ISC preventing the car from revving over 4k, and when I go to take off it sputters very badly. I let it sit for like 2 minutes, restarted it and it drove well enough to get me home, but it would still misfire if i gave it much boost.
