I got a 92 talon and the vin says it should be a 2.0nt 5sp but it has a 1.8
nt 5sp ,all the wiring looks correct for the car , JUST looks factory, and even the hood has no bump in it ,even has disk brakes on all 4 .
Don't know what up with the ADL connector because it has a plug plugged in it that is part of the wirring harness ? any clues for this plug.
If some one hacked this car they went out all the way. What you guys think?

The ALDL port shouldn't have anything plugged into it, did you follow the wires? It may just be a datalogger cable someone left in there.
Try running a carfax, it might tell if the car was salvage and someone put a motor in there or something.

check vs the other vins. It isn't common but somebody may have switched the vin plate in the window.....

If they did I hope you have a recipt.

I check and all the vins are the same in 3 locations. Found the prob with the ADL connector ,some one had put the plug for the guage cluster in it.
Need to check out the wirring on that plug and see if any of the wires in it are hot that could have fried the computer as the CEL stays on all the time .What trans NO would a 1.8 FWD have in it ? Or did they even make
a 92 Talon with a 1.8 ?
