I am using the 7es ngk plugs and all of them are red brown full of carbon deposits and cylinder # 4 has more carbon then the rest. According to my logger I am runing lean at part throttle and on the highway it goes so rich that I get 43 counts of phantom knock at under 20% throttle. at prety much all rpms. I have done a boost leak test and fixed some leaks but, no difference. I am only on stock injectors and I thought colder plugs would be good. If needed check my modlist. And they worked good for a long while. It just started getting all this phantom knock tonight and ran like crap all night. Richening or leaning has no effect on this knock. It was 32* tonight. Would it be wise to put in the stock 6es plugs? Also I have tried swaping coil packs, plug wires, plugs, injectors, to try and make plug # 4 not be carboned up more then the rest with no effect. The only thing I have not swaped is the igniter. Whould a bad igniter cause this? It also tries to die when coming to a stop or deceling. Please help.
