Car is not running right

So I let it run today and the oil looked fine but for some reason it idles at about 4000 rpm then drops then climbs again??? Also the exhaust manifold gets really really hot after only like 2 min of running??

I should also add that my aftermarket boost gauge is reading about 18 psi when it is reving at 4000 rpm's. There is a manual boost controller but one I don't think it is hooked up right and two I don't know which way to turn the dial to lower or raise?? One line is going from wastegate to mbc and the other is going from lower intercooler pipe to mbc?? I am afraid my turbo is what is heating up causing the manifold to get real hot.

Manifold heating up after 2 minutes seems normal for me. As for the idle surge, try either adjusting the "BISS" screw and or replace the BISS screw and o-ring.

which way do I turn the screw to lower and raise idle?

tighten the screw to lower idle. dont bottom it out. keep in mind boost leaks and the bov not recirculated will cause idle surge.

I do not have the bov recirculating I have to buy a hose for that and I have to go through the whole engine and make sure that everything is tight and secure.

So I switched the wires in the coil plug and it ran better for a min but then jumped up again, I plugged all the vaccum lines that I could see but I have a question, there is a line that goes from the thermostat housing to the intake manifold which looks to be near the iac, both the nipples are plugged, does that line have to be on there??? Also I just have that mdp sensor on the intake manifold plugged it and lying there, do I have to do anything with that??? I havent changed the pins in the ecu yet either but would that cause a high idle??
