Hey everyone so I’m pretty new to dsms. So I recently got my dsm running it’s a top end 4g63 and bottom 4g64. I have a 16g turbo, 190 walbro, oem 450cc injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator. So the car idles amazing but when I give gas car dies. I replace the mass air flow sensor as i found it was no good but the car still does it. When I unplug the new mass air flow sensor the car runs like crap but I am able to give gas. Any ideas??

If I’m thinking about this correctly wouldn’t that combination result in a stroked motor? If so that could be why you are having issues without a way to properly tell the computer that you are not on stock displacement. I know with link there is settings to change for stroker motors. Someone please chime in if I’m completely wrong.

It’s considered a hybrid motor not a stroker. Your basically just making the 2.4 DOHC from the 91 galant from what I gathered before putting the engine together.

No matter what car has to be tuned but the car should mechanically function as it should air and fuel wise.

So you don’t think moving the amount of air of a 2.4 to a 2.0 would be enough of a difference to disturb the airflow through the maf and cause an extremely lean issue? Thoughts?
See I have thought about it as well but there’s no crazy difference between a 91 galant dohc head which is basically the same as a 4g63 head if that makes sense. The only thing with this combo is that if you have the 63 cam gears you have to Advance timing by half a tooth which I’ve check countless times.. if you use 91 Galant cam gears you set it to its original timing marks. I’m also having a rich issue it was a lot worse before I changed the ecu to a working one.
