car having trouble ideling and going into boost

hey im new to this forum but i bought a 95 gst eclipse couple weeks ago and it had a few problems that me and a few buddy's have been conquering since but the main problem as of right now is my car wont idel for crap when its cold it will go from like 1500rpm to around 500rpm and just go back and fourth and stalls itself out more then ideling but when it gets warmed up it idels like a champ .. we just replaced plugs and wires and put a new MAF in cleaned the IAC and throttle body soo im not quite sure exactly why its running like such crap and the other thing is it will drive but when you get on it and it goes to around 3000rpm in any gear it just sputters out and puts at that speed and sometimes feels like your giveing it gas and letting off back and fourth when it try's to go into boost and it wont gain any boost if someone could please help me out that d be awesome thank you car is stock from what i was told only mod i know of is the front mount intercooler

You need to document any and all modifications to the car so people have an idea of where to start. Otherwise this could take forever.

Don't worry everybody learns.

Sounds to me like you are experiencing idle surge. A flunctuation of RPM's. I could sit here and explain it to you, or you could just read through this and get it all at one time: Terry's Talon Troubleshooting Tips #3 - Fast Idle (aka. Idle Surge).

Also, perform a boost leak test. You could be having symptoms of a boost leak as well. If you are unsure on how to perform one, just search it. There is plenty of information on it.

If you are unsure of what is done to your vehicle, try posting a picture of your engine bay on here for us. A lot of the time we can pick out what is done Good luck.
