car dying after shop caught wires on fire

shop caught my car on fire like i said in another thread. now the issue is tracking down the wires that need to be replaces or whatever. for starters there is a blue w yellow stripe wire on the alternator harness that is just hanging there. surely this goes somewhere but i have no idea where? does anyone have a alternator wiring diagram. the whole harness looks burnt to hell so there may be more issues than this

Grab yourself the Electrical Wiring section of the 2g book and have at it. I would first look up which wires go to what, ECU, Ground etc. Then if it is ground, check it's continuity to power and vise-versa. Ground to power, power to ground.

Because you DO NOT want to hook up a wire that has been shorted/melted before. Wait to connect it until you know where it goes and that it isn't shorted. There is a good little how-to HERE. It isn't specific to your car but in general it will show you how to test shorts to ground, power, wire corrosion and chaffing or just completely open circuits. Just follow the instructions there in their example and apply it to your car and schematics.
